Mark 10: 46-52

(Mark 10: 46-52) And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the highway side begging.  And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.  And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Two men are blind men, but spiritually, those who are confined in darkness. A person who is being oppressed by Satan. Matthew 4:16

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. When Jesus first began to preach, he quoted Isaiah's prophecy. The beginning of the gospel is not that people wash away dirt, but realize that they are in darkness. Many churches emphasize the forgiveness of sins. Even if a sinner is forgiven, he does not escape from darkness.

If the sinner is in darkness, he is still dead before God. Adam was afraid and hid in the darkness after his sin. If he is the master of the body, he is hiding in the darkness. He does not want his thoughts, his actions, to be revealed. He is just in the dirt, so he tries to wash the dirt. The first thing to realize is that you are in the dark, not the first to wash the dirt. The beginning of salvation is to realize that I am in darkness
because we are in darkness, we do not know that God is dead.

The sinner must realize that he is in darkness, because God has pity on him, and God shines light on him. King Saul left the anointing of the Lord. As a proof, Samuel never again met King Saul. The Lord has forsaken King Saul into darkness. Nevertheless, Saul continued to act as king for some time. For 18 years, he won the war without God. There may be people today who are good in the world without living the word of God in the church. But you are not saved unless you are in Christ. To be in Christ is to deny self.

If they are in the church and think they are God's people without being born again, they will be nothing more unhappy than this. David also made the mistake of taking his subordinate's wife and killing his subordinate. He murdered, committed adultery, and lied, but was not aware because he was in the dark. Many people think that if they confess their sins, they are forgiven. The meaning of repentance is not confession of sin, but death from sin. "Freeing from sin" is repentance. You can only do this if you deny yourself. Would sin disappear by confessing thousands of sins, without abandoning or leaving sin?

"Freeing from sin" is salvation. Studying the truth does not free me from sin. The truth is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross. If you are in Jesus Christ, you are in truth. The subject must change "from me to truth." David committed adultery with Uriah's wife, and he lived in worship, but he did not abide in the truth. Thus, he loses his spiritual sense, and he does not realize that he is an evil being.

God had pity for David and shed His light. God sent the prophet Nathan to David to convict him of sin. If you do not understand the word of God today, then the spirit is dead. Little greed is the beginning of sin. Even if there is knowledge of sin, it is destroyed before little covetousness. Even if you fill and worship the word of God, a small covetous person drives you into the slave of sin. One of David's small greeds was driven by tremendous sin. Nevertheless, David did not realize that he was a sinner to die. This is the dark.

When people realize that they are in the dark and cry out to God, God approaches him. This is repentance. So God delivers sinners from darkness. We must enter into Jesus Christ to be free from darkness.
