Mark 11: 20-26
(Mark 11: 20-26) And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig
tree dried up from the roots. And Peter calling to
remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is
withered away. And
Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say
unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be
thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe
that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever
he saith. Therefore I say unto
you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them,
and ye shall have them. And when ye stand
praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is
in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive,
neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Jesus cursed
the fig tree without fruit. This means the Israelites who were locked up in the
law. In Matthew 7: 15-21『Beware of false prophets,
which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do
men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth
good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil
fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth
good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know
them. Not every one that
saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that
doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 』
God's will is to repent and return. It is to live a
life of self-denial in association with Jesus on the cross. Otherwise, in 7:23,
"I don't know you."
In the
parable of the last days, in Matthew 24: 32-33『Now learn a parable of the fig
tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that
summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that
it is near, even at the doors. 』 The fig tree at this time represents the end-time situation. When the
fig tree leaves, you realize that summer is approaching. It is said in Luke 17
that the situation is the same as that of Noah and Lot. Both were judged by
God. In Noah's time, Genesis 6: 2『That the sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which
they chose. And the LORD
said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh:
yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 』
For a son and
a daughter, there are many meanings. Heaven and earth, those with and without
seeds, but both are people who believe in God. Both are sons and daughters, one
is the son of God and the other is the daughter of man. Today, while sitting in
the same church, one means one who obeys the law of the Holy Spirit, and one
who is locked in the law. Birth is different. One is the life (the daughter of
man) received from the parents, and the other is the regenerated life (the son
of heaven) received from God. But both say they believe in God. It can be said
that the son has the seed's promise, and the daughter has no seed's promise.
Noah's
spiritual story, and Lot's physical story. Speaking of today, Noah's time is
what happens in the church, and Lot's story is what happens in the world. What
is common to both is the story of adultery. In Noah's time, spiritual adultery,
combining the one with and without the promise of the seed, is a mixture of
both. They believe in God and follow the customs of the world, so that everyone
is spiritually corrupted.
Saying that
many church members are born again today, they are like loving the world. Even
though they are locked in the law, they say they follow the Holy Spirit. This
is called spiritual adultery. He said that he was born again as a spiritual
body, and that he was bound to sin. So it turns the new birth into a state of
mind.
"Their
day will be a hundred and twenty years." This does not mean that the human
life is 120 years, but that he will judge after 120 years. God says: Everyone
will be judged after 120 years, so repent and turn around. However, when Noah
shouted for 120 years, no one but seven families could enter the ark. So the
flood came, and everyone died.
Sodom, where
Lot lived, was a place where homosexuality prevailed. Homosexuality is the
destruction of creation order. God judged Sodom by fire. Today, homosexuality
is spreading around the world. As of 2019, there are 27 countries that
recognize homosexuality, countries that admit their same-sex overseas
marriages, including Israel, and three countries. The countries under discussion
include the EU and nine other countries.
